Millburn/ Short Hills, NJ

Short Hills/Millburn, NJ ...

Settled in the early 17th Century, Millburn gets its name from the several mills of those times.  Significant development began in 1877 with Short Hills by Samuel Hartshorn, who planned the community of Short Hills as a conservationist would.  Rather than laying out a grid of road, he followed the terrain to make beautiful winding roads graced by many very old, large trees.  Its convenience to Manhattan and the lovely tree-lined streets are just a few of the features that make Millburn/Short Hills a very desirable community to call home.
