Welcome to The Chathams, NJ. Two of the most charming, desirable towns to live and raise a family. The Chathams are comprised of a Borough and a Township. Chatham Borough was settled in the early 18th Century and is a small residential community with a small town flavor. The active town center includes charming shops, casual eateries and award-winning restaurants as well as a public library, several service establishments, parks and tennis courts. Chatham Township offers spacious country and suburban living with most homes being built after World War II. There are homes in the higher price ranges, and many homes have properties of 1/2 acre or more.
